Cornerstone Youth Services Inc. was established to address the critical needs of inner-city youth, providing a safe haven where they can express their feelings, share their experiences, and seek support.​
 
During my time working in inner-city IPS schools, I frequently encountered students facing severe challenges. Many lacked clean clothing, were transient due to frequent evictions, and relied on school meals as their primary source of nutrition.
 
I met students with incarcerated parents and others whose guardians struggled with substance abuse. These harsh realities underscored the urgent need for a supportive environment where these young individuals could find stability and care.​Witnessing these conditions firsthand compelled me to take action.
 
I realized that if we do not invest in our youth now, their futures—and the future of our community—are at risk. Our young people are the foundation of our society; they are the "cornerstones" upon which we build our collective future.​
 
At Cornerstone Youth Services, we are dedicated to empowering these young individuals through comprehensive wrap-around services. We provide mental health referrals, employment clinics, financial literacy classes, and other essential resources to help them thrive and avoid reentry into juvenile corrections facilities. 
 
Our mission is to bridge the gap between youth and the community, fostering a united and prosperous future for all.​
